For the toddler who's just discovering construction toys, the Mega Blocks Wagon is a simple way to take building materials from site to site. Topped with a sturdy plastic handle, the wagon is just over a foot high and runs on four 6-inch plastic wheels. Inside are 50 assorted Mega Blocks. (These are mostly plain blocks but include a car and two people blocks.) The side of the wagon has a row of Mega Blocks knobs, so grand structures can be created right on the top of the wagon.

Evidence that the robotic dinosaur revolution is spreading, this Roboraptor comes fully assembled and ready to roam the earth with his robotic dinosaur cousins. He has movable arms, a swiveling head, a sweeping tail, and a chomping jaw full of pointy teeth. Measuring 32 inches from nose to tail, the Roboraptor is a big enough to intimidate any smaller predator that may come along. While this raptor hasn't yet developed his full hunting skills, he's still a lot of fun and comes with over 40 preprogrammed functions, three distinct moods, and the ability to detect things in its path with infrared vision. He also comes equipped with automatic shutoff and a demo mode. Roboraptor is steady on his feet, but works best on smooth, hard surfaces.

Bubble blowing is elevated to high art and intriguing science with this kit of geometric bubble-making tools. At first glance it's impossible to imagine how this canister of colorful plastic rods and white connector balls can create flowing bubble spirals and 3-D triangular bubbles. But the expertly written and illustrated directions make assembly simple (think old-fashioned Tinker Toys) while covertly teaching a few things about water chemistry (why soapy water creates bubbles) and physics (how design and aerodynamics factor into the shape and flow of a bubble). These Zometool pieces don't have to remain limited to bubble play. Additional kits can be purchased to make larger, more geometrically exotic creations. A recipe for mixing bubble water is included along with a blowing tube.
