ACTION FIGURE - DIE CAST METAL SOLDERS: During the early/mid 80's, I remember having and buying small die-cast metal soldiers. They were around 2 1/2 inches (6cm) had a rubber head and were gold in color. Their legs could not bend nor their arms except at the hips and shoulders. I remember that they had something do to with "gold-force" or something. The theme was that they were metal and "gold. " The gold color uniforms changed pink in the cold, which was irreversible
ACTION FIGURE - ORANGE SUIT: What is the figure from the 80's, that has orange suit, blue face, but when you turn the head around to the back, the back side is a blue body, which appears to not be clothed in the chest area.

ACTION FIGURES - FOOTBALL - SEARS CATALOG NFL - 1980's: Can you tell me where I can find the 6-8 inch football players Sears used to offer in their catalog, they were available for each team, I had the Baltimore Colt figure. The arms and legs were moveable. They were pictured with the team sets they sold for the vibrating or electronic game. Thanks Rick
ACTIVE MINDS INTERACTIVE DVD BOOK: My child received an Active Minds Interactive DVD book for Christmas. The instructions says to use a remote control with a number pad to program the remote control which came with the book. Our DVD remote control does not have a number pad; is there another way to program the remote which came with the book?
AIR /WATERPOWERED ROCKET: In the late 50's I had a two stage rocket that was operated on water and air. The booster rocket was maybe 16-18 inches tall and the a rocket was attached to the booster. The top rocket had a rubber tip on it and also a cap could be placed in this tip so it could exploded on landing. If I remember correctly you would fill the booster rocketed with water, attached this to the base with the top rocket in place. A metal clip with a string was attached to the booster and air was added with a bicycle pump. After enough pressure was added you would pull the string and the rocket would take of with the two rockets separating in flight. Any information you would have, maker,year produced,etc. would be very helpful. Thank you Keith.
AIRCRAFT CARRIER: I am looking for an aircraft carrier(for my husband). From the early to mid 70's. It had a band, attached to a handle/gun(?), that the planes used to fly back and forth. The planes traveled up and back using a band/string and travel. Please help.

AIRHAWK: My daughter has asked for a toy she believes is called an AIRHAWK for Christmas and we can't find anything with that name. She says it is a boat that turns into a plane and another vehicle (truck?). Any idea what this toy is? Thanks
AIRPLANE: I had a hand-crank toy airplane that had a central pylon and you could control it by moving a lever that moved the elevator. This was in the early 70s. Do you have any idea what is would have been called and where I could find one?

ALIEN ACTION FIGURES AND METAL TOY ROLLERCOASTERS: Between 1967-1973 I had \"alien\" figures "action figures". I would like to know if anyone remembers their names and who made them. There were several in the series. My favorite was a little green martian with a big green head, then there was a silver alien with spikes all over his chest. Does anyone have any information. Also whatever happened to the metal "rollercoasters" they use to sell in the 70'S ?

ANIMATED BEAR - REPAIR: Is there any reputable place in the U.S. that I can send a non-working animated Christmas bear (or any animated doll for that matter) for repair??? I have searched high & low on the internet for over a year, as has a friend of mine. It seems to be a lost art. I had a bad experience with one place I sent my bear to where they kept my bear for close to a year, only to have them send it back telling me that they could not find a new mechanism. Can you HELP? ANTIQUE TIN TOY: I have an old, 1920's Hi Way Henry, by Nifty, wind-up tin toy, intact with stove on the back as well as the original clothes line. I was wondering how much it was worth? Do you know how many of these were made.
ARMY SOLDIER: Between 1975 - 1985 I remember playing with a series of plastic, super-deformed, highly articulated, 3 1/2 inch - 4 inch army soldiers that swiveled at the hips and made a clicking noise when hips moved. These figures had extenuated bulging muscles, over articulated facial features and joints and were quite sturdy and detailed for their time. These soldiers looked mad and angry and ready for any battle. These figures were all molded plastic with no soft goods like cloth clothing or cloth pouches. These figures were all made of highly glossy, painted, molded plastic. These figures looked as if they were completed with two main pieces of molded plastic joined at the hips. I remember one figure was kneeling down on his knee in an action pose and held some type of bazooka or rocket launcher. Other similar figures in the series were standing and held highly detailed machine guns and handguns. Each figure had removable hand grenades and helmets and each figure could be affixed to a dark colored, battle base. I think these figures came in packs of 3-4 and each squad member had a different pose, weapon, and duty within those sets. I really remember the clicking hips. Extremely cool figures for their time and I have been dying to find them once again on eBay or some toy show but no luck. Please help me find these lost toys of my childhood. Point me in the right direction so I can scoop them up. Thanks.

BABY DOLL - ELIZABETH: During the 1960's I had a baby doll named Elizabeth with a soft body, I think it was made of foam rubber with a plastic head in blue baby pajamas. She was so, soft with a real baby feel. I have been trying to find another one ever since she literally fell apart. Where can I get one?
BABY DOLL WITH VW BUG: In the early 70s I had a baby doll that came in a pink VW Bug type plastic car. Manufactured, most likely, by Mattel. I think the headlights were eyes and the car had graphics in pastel or stickers. Do you know the name of this doll?

BABY FIGURINES: About 15-18 years ago, I collected these small baby figurines, that were about one inch and a half big. They came wrapped in a small, colored scarf like a diaper. I was just wondering what these were perhaps called, and if I could find them anywhere?
BABY GUND SMALL PINK PUPPY WITH RATTLE - 1985: I purchased this puppy for my daughter in 1990. She had it for fifteen years when it recently disappeared from our hotel room in New York. BABY TOY - FROG: I'm looking for a toy/doll that was made in the 80s. it looked like a frog, shaped almost like a triangle and two floppy arms, light green in color and squeaked. it was soft maybe a cotton type material and about the size of an adult palm. please please let me know if you ever saw or heard of a toy. BALANCING TIN CLOWN ON BICYCLE: As a child I have a vague memory of these toys balancing on a string tied across my bedroom. Then 4 years ago I saw one in South America (not for sale). And since then I have searched high and low for one. I've been told these were mass produced in both Japan and Germany. And yet I've not managed to track one down. BALL ON A ROPE: I believe this toy was out in the 80's. It was a ball that had a rope running through it in two places. It was passed back and forth between the users by spreading the two ropes apart causing it to shoot to the other person. I need the name of this toy and if possible a place I can buy one. BANANA BIKE: Around 1985-1987, my little brother (6 or 7 at the time) had a peddle bike that was shaped like a banana. It had a smiley face on it and a red tuft of yarn hair on the top of its head. My mom gave it away when we moved, and I've been searching for it, or something similar, ever since. No luck with eBay or Google. . .any ideas?

BATMAN SUCTION HANGING TOY: In the 1980's - early-90's, there was a set of Batman toys (including Batman, Penguin, Robin, etc. ) that hung on strings from suction cups. They stuck to glass and looked so cool because of their action poses. They were small too, only like 2-3 inches in length. Can you tell me more about them, please?

BATTERY OPERATED BIKE TRACK RACING GAME - 1980's: I had a toy in which small bicycle men would race around a track and when they reached the bottom there was a conveyor belt that whisked them back to the top. It had four guys and if I remember correctly an orange track. It had a small metal wheel in the middle and their legs would pedal up and down. Anyone remember this? Thanks

BATTERY OPERATED TOY CAR: During the late 60's or early 70's, I had a toy car that I believe was battery powered. I don't remember who the manufacturer was but I believe the car was 1/25 scale. The car had a card that went into it that had a groove cut in it and determined the steering pattern based on the groove on the card. Ever heard of it?

BATTLE TANKS: Does anyone know the name of this toy in the late 60's that had plastic tubing you would tape on the floor and plug into "Y" connectors that allowed you to change direction by blowing a puff of air from a bellows at the time the tank rod over it. Also it let you fire a missile or shell from the vehicle. It was great fun. Thanks

BEAR: During the mid-80's I had a stuffed bear (brown) with a removable fur coat. I don't know who the maker was, but i would like to find another. he had "honey bear" written on his chest, and a fake bandage on his leg with "boo-boo" written underneath. My question is, have you seen one of these, if so, where can I get another one?

BIG EAR - SPYING TOY - 1950's: In the late 50's or early 60's there was a TV commercial for Big Ear, a 10-12 inch diameter disc that you could aim at a house and be able to hear what was being said inside. My brother and I were dying for one but our parents said it was too expensive. We can't find anything about it online or on eBay. Can you please tell us more about this toy? We were wondering if they were all confiscated by the government or something.

BIPLANE TOY: I had a toy around 1972 that was a plastic blue bodied biplane with yellow Styrofoam wings. It was connected, via a metal arm(with cable also attached) to a centre structure and flew in a circle when you hand cranked a cable line that ran from the structure's base to the handcrank control,which controlled speed and up and down.It was completely powered by the handcrank turning said cable. BLACK AND DECKER JR WORKBENCH: We live in Indianapolis In. We have been looking for the Black and Decker Workbench. Toys R Us had it advertised this past weekend but didn't have any in stock and didn't know when they would be receiving any more. Can you tell me where I might find one for our grandson. BOARD GAME: When I was little I had a game that had pink and orange chip/discs with a whole in the middle and they'd go on a peg there was 2 sides of pegs. If you pulled on a peg and there was a disc it would fall the object was to get the other sides discs. I can't remember the name of this game can you help me?
BOARD BALL AND TOWER TYPE GAME: My mother is looking for a game from her childhood that she played in elementary school! She told me that it was a tower with a base and in the tower there was a wall. The tower and the wall and the balls had holes all through it. She said each player had 2 sticks each and a different color set of balls one set for each player. She told me that you place your balls on one side of the tower wall and your opponent places theirs on the other side of the tower wall. The object of the game was you and your opponent both start at the same time and use your 2 sticks and place them in the holes and through the holes in the balls and try to get all your balls to the top through the hole at the top of the tower and into the other players side before they got theirs onto your side. She figured the game was made in the late '60s or in the '70s seeing as how that was the time period she was in elementary school. She would like to know the name of this game and if possible where she might be able to find it for purchase? When she first described it thought maybe she was talking about kerplunk but when she finished the description I didn't know the name of the game but I sure wanted to play it. LOL! We have looked all over the web for it, But I decided after tiring my eyes it was time to ask Dr.Toy! Please Help! thanks

BREYER HORSE - late 1950s - DARK BROWN REAL HAIR - 8 - 9" tall: My sister had one when she was small. Evil stepmother(really) cleaned house after our mother's death in 1062. Would love nothing more than to find one for my sister. That horse meant so much to her. She slept with it each night in spite of warnings about blinding herself. It would so much if I could find one for her. Thank you for your assistance. CAR - 1970's: When I was a kid in the mid 70s I had a red toy car about 12” long it had a tool kit and the wheels were removable also several body parts could be replaced with ones that looked wrecked. I have always called it a “Pit Change Charger” but I’m not sure if this was the real name but I have done searches for this and found nothing. I hope you know something or can point me to someone that does.
CAR - SET OF 2 MAGNET: My mother has been reminiscing about a toy from her past, a pair of toy cars that came in a little plastic box, one gold car, one silver, and they had wheels that rolled, but they had magnets inside the cars so that if you put one behind the other and pushed, it cause the first one to move forward, and you could reverse the action. About the gold and silver magnet car set that I was enquiring about, the time would be the 1960's, or very early 70's.

CHARLIE BROWN & SNOOPY COOKING IRON: I am looking for a cooking iron more specifically I think it was originally used for pancakes, but we used alot for grilled cheese sandwiches during our childhood. It was during the early 1990s to mid 1990s and on the outside it looked exactly like a waffle maker, but when you open it on the left I believe it was a Charlie Brown head and on the right was the snoopy head. pancakes, waffles, or in our case grilled cheese sandwiches. It would be in the shape of a Charlie Brown or Snoopy head. I'm looking for this for my dad who was really attached to it!!!! If anyone could help me find one, or remembers one, or knows the exact name of it that would be amazing!!!
CHICKEN RINGS: I grew up in the '60s. I used to play with these plastic rings -- about the size of a ring for your finger or may a little bigger circumference. they came in all different colors -- some were translucent I think. Anyway, you could interconnect them the same way you put a key on a keychain. We used to call them chicken rings but I'm not sure what they were called. You used to buy them in bags and just connect them together to see how long you could get the chain.

CLASSIC RETRO TOYS - LOOKING FOR LIST: Is there a list of a list of classic retro toys that are still in production?
CLASSIC TOY: I'm trying to figure out the name of a toy. It's those little animals on a stand, and when you squeeze a button on the bottom they go all limp and collapse, but when you release it they spring back up. I don't even know if they make these anymore, but I'm trying to find one.
CLEANING MOLD FROM OUTDOOR JUMP ' N' SLIDE: I have a Little Tikes 9x12 Jump N' Slide which was used during the summer. I put it away thinking it was completely dry, only to find out, when I opened it in November, that it stank of Mold and was black in places from the mold. I used several cleaners and Febreeze to try to get rid of the smell, but I think it must also be inside the structure. Do you have any suggestions on how to clean it? Right now it is soooooo bad, no one wants to use it. At $220, I'm not ready to give up. Thanks for your help.

CLOWN - STUFFED TOY: I need to find an identical toy for my daughter. It's a clown approximately.20 in. long. It has yellow hair, red costume with blue, green, yellow and white circles on it in different sizes. One sleeve in his outfit is green, the other-red. On the neck it has a bow-tie with circles colored as on his outfit just much smaller. On its feet-"shoes"made out of terry(I think) in navy blue, yellow and orange. The outfit is removable to wash. It was made in China.The name of the company that made it is not known. I'll be grateful for help. KG

COLLECTIBLES - MICRO MACHINES - STAR WARS: How would I be able to find someone interested in the micro machine Star Wars collectible sets? They are in mint condition and NEVER opened.
CONSTRUCTION SET: I had a construction set in the mid to late 60's that was all plastic in a nice cardboard chest(box).It had a dump truck, road grader, cement truck.etc. . each about 6" long.I remember the quality being very generic.The vehicles were usually pale green or yellow. There were drain pipes( I think they were black) and telephone poles(black)with a small base that were about 8" tall.There was white 6" sections of fence. Also some small buildings and barrels. If I remember correctly the outside of the box was white with pale green lettering. The box was about 3'long, 2'wide and 1'high.Any help to identify this set would be great. Thank you
CONSTRUCTION TOY - COLORED TRANSPARENT BUILDING SQUARES: I am looking for a toy that I had as child in the 1970's. It was a set of colored transparent squares, about two inches by two inches. On each side at the midpoint, there was a slot. You could slide other squares into these slots to build structures. I believe there also was an hexagonal version as well. Thank you!
CRAFTS - MINISTEK?: I loved them. You get this white board and all these little pieces and you copy off the sheet and create a picture. You could make a parrot, a cat etc. Does anyone have any? I'm willing to buy!!!
CRISSY DOLL: In the late 70's or early to mid 80's, there was a black (African American) Crissy Doll. I'm not sure of the spelling, but she was not an entire doll. She was a head with a yellow base at the neck, just a bit smaller than a human head and she came with earrings, combs and things to do her hair. Do you know where I can find her? Whenever I look up Crissy, they show a full bodied doll.
DICK TRACY SQUIRT GUN/CAPGUN/SHOTGUN: In the early '60s was there such a toy gun, as the "Dick Tracy" shotgun/capgun/squirtgun ? I remember having one, yet can find no info. on it.
DINOSAUR EGG: I have a dinosaur egg from China that, when submerged in water for 24-48 hours produces a baby (rubber-like) dinosaur. What is it made of and is it safe for my son to play with?

DOLL - ANIMAL HEAD: I would like to replace a doll my 17 mo old daughter lost. She loved it very much and received it as a gift. The doll has an black body with light color feet and hands. It has a human plastic head (male I think, and not too good looking). The doll's most distinctive feature is an animal-head "hood" that covers completely the human head. Once the hood is on. the animal body matches the animal head, as if the doll wore a monkey (or bear) costume. Do you know what kind of toy it is? It was given to us in used condition by Turkish friends and I have no reason to believe it not contemporary (end 1990s/2000s). I would really love to replace the one she had with a similar one.

DOLL - CAROLINA - POSSIBLY EUROPEAN: During the mid 1960's, my grandmother gave me a beautiful blonde baby doll. She was wearing a white and read dress and the name Carolina was embroided on the pocket. My grandmother said the doll was named for Caroline Kennedy. She was bought in Venezuela, but might have been brought there from Italy. DOLL - S & H GREEN STAMP REWARD: My daughter now has my mother's childhood baby doll. This doll is made of rubber and drinks, wets, and cries when her stomach is squeezed. Her face and hair is very similar to Tiny Tears, however her face is less full and she does not have the characteristic 'tear ducts.' The back of her head is marked 4-8 and below that EEGEE (possibly it is hard to make out.) On the body there is a 12-5 mark. And then on the cry box 'speaker' there is the marking FREY MFG. CO. N.J. My mother also said that the doll was meant to be given a bath and came with a suitcase, which opened vertically, and contained a layette, bottle and pacifier; she also believes her mother got it for her using S & H Green Stamps. Her name was Peanuts and she was stuffed with lint-type stuffing, she had a hole in her back, from which I guess she could cry, she no longer does. She is made of hard rubber, I guess, and is 18". Her eyes opened and closed and she had lifelike lashes, I have never seen another doll like this and I would like to know her value. I also received a stuffed black Scotty dog with a beret, a red and yellow plaid coat, a leash, and a dog house. He also had his tongue out. I loved this dog and kept him for many years, giving him to my daughter, until my ex-mother-in-law, while at my house, discovered Pepper in the closet and thought he was a rag and threw him out. DOLL: Looking for collectible dolls from the late 70's or early eighties that were collectible. They had very light bodies with a Styrofoam type head with beautiful full dresses and hats. The dresses were lace and satin and they had really pretty hair. I think the hands had wire in them to hold purses or umbrellas. You could not play with them, they were just for show. DOLL WITH MAGIC BOTTLE: I was born in 1986 and I'm not sure what year I received this specific doll (maybe in the 90s) but she was my most favorite doll . DOLLS: I have 2 dolls that my aunt gave my in the 1970's not sure if that was when they were made. One is hard plastic with molded hair in a shape of a bun. ELECTRIC MOTOR BUILDING KIT - REMCO - 1960's: Can I find one somewhere? Any clues?
ELECTRIC RACE CAR - SLOTLESS TRACK: Back in the late 80's early 90's there were a line of electric toy race cars that raced around a dual-lane track. The track had walls around it and between the lanes and the cars themselves had small plastic wheels (like bumpers) around it, allowing it to smoothly go around the turns in the track. The cars were about 4 inches wide and 6-8 inches long. I still have my track, but somewhere along the line all my cars have disappeared and I can't remember what they were called. They were basically like oversized slot cars - minus the slot. You had to put the cars together when you bought them, including putting the tires on the wheels and fixing the motor to the chassis. The only thing I DO remember is one of the cars I had was black and look quite similar to a Lamborghini Contac and it was called the Dominator. Any ideas?
ELECTRONIC BOARD GAME: There was a electronic board game when I was young (1985) that my grandma had and I can't remember the name of it. ELECTRONIC CAR - FLEXIBLE: I'm looking for the name, or more information about a toy made in the late eighties. It was an electronic car that was long and flat with several wheel axles. The top of the wheels were above the body of the vehicle. It was not remote controlled and could not turn left or right, but it was very flexible in the up/down direction; as a result it could climb over almost anything. ELECTRONIC TABLE TOP GAME - MARBLES - 1950's: It plugged into the wall. It was a square top about 16" x 16". Each side had about 10 holes covered with metal which would open and close by using individual levers. The marbles were placed in the middle and I think there was something which spewed them around. The object was to only get your color marbles on your side and to shut out the other colors before they got into your slots. Do you know the name of the game or where I could find one?

FURRY STATIC HAND TOY: I just received a hand-knit scarf made with long fibers. It reminds of a toy from the late 70's that you would lay flat and rub your hand across and it would jump (from the static or the pile of the fur). I can't remember the name of the toy. GAME - 1970's: What was the name of the game that was upright that was similar to a connect four game but you would slide in these round disks and had to figure out where your opponent placed his on the other side.(it was two sided) then you would pull out the disk and if your opponent's piece was there it would roll down and would be yours and the one who got the most of his opponents disk was the winner. GAME - 1970's: Game about as big as the box a Life Game would come in. It stands upright. Brownish/tan plastic case with legs to help it stand up. Clear front. Inside the case is about six plastic bars that are all controlled by one round handle at the bottom. GRAVITY RACE SET: When I was young - late 60's - I had a toy race set that was two plastic cars that rode on a slot track that was sort of a figure eight. The cars were plastic with single steel balls instead of wheels. I think a single lever released the cars to start the race.

HAND HELD TOY - POCKET TERMINATOR: In the early 80's a company called Hyman Products Inc. out of St.Louis sold a product called the 'Pocket Terminator' a handheld toy that had three buttons: one for a machine gun, one for a ray gun, and one for a bomb exploding. I have had no success in finding the company in the Missouri area or finding the toy. The toy came in different sizes, a hand held version(maybe 4"x4") and a keychain version (maybe 2"x2"). Any suggestions on the product or something similar?
HANDHELD ELECTRONIC GAME - 1980's: I am looking for an old game (I played with it in the 80s but never owned one myself) that was a small handheld electronic game where stick figures jumped from a building, and you as the player would have to manipulate the firemen (I think they were firemen, maybe just people) to catch them. As the game progressed, you had to catch jumpers faster and faster without dropping them.

HELICOPTER - HAND CRANK: In the 1960 Simpson Sears catalog in Canada was a toy helicopter which had a hand crank, which turned a steel wire inside a wound wire tube, turned the rotor blades and the helicopter actually flew as long as you kept turning the crank. LAUGH A LOT DOLL MID 70's: I received a doll from Santa between 1972-75 named Laugh a Lot. I think Mattel made the doll, but I'm not sure. She was battery operated and if you pressed her tummy, she laughed for a long time. She had should length brown hair, and she was about 12-18 inches tall. LIFE SIZE SPACE SUIT - 1960's: In 1968 - 69 I was 6 years old. I lived in Newark Delaware. I was given for Christmas a life size dress up space suit complete with helmet with an orange visor, reaching and grasping arm claw, space gun and utility belt with science kit. The manufacture insignia looked like NASA insignia but it was a blue circle two intersecting white orbit paths on a star background with whit lettering that started with an "A". I think? MAGIC MIXER/ MATH PUZZLE WITH DICE: Around 1992 my boss found this little game/math puzzle which was a plastic piece to hold 6 or 7 dice, 2 of which were black and the rest were white. One of the black die was in the middle. The object was to "shake" the plastic thing making the dice spin and then slap it onto a hard surface. You had to use the white dice in whatever mathematical way to equal the 2 black dice.

MATTEL VINTAGE TOYS: What was the name of the toy made by Mattel in the 60's to early 70's that plugged in, had a clear plastic dome that covered a hot plate. MERMAID BATH DOLL - LITTLE BUDDY OR HAIR TIE GIRLS: In the early 80's 81-84 I think, I use to have bath toys of mermaids that floated in the tub in a flower shaped sponge, they usually came with a little friend that had a mere-tail too. Also, Around the same time, girls that had long hair, use to have hair ties that were tiny little dolls with long, long, pony tails that you could braid into your own hair. They had all different colored hair, pink, purple. they were not "lady lovely locks" these little dolls came out much earlier. They were only about 1-2.5 inches tall. MERRY GO ROUND: In the mid-70s I had a merry-go-round that sat 4 kids. Each child sat facing the middle and you would push and pull the handle and foot rest to make it spin. METAL ROLLER COASTER: I am trying to identify this toy made by the metal toy company in Pittsburgh pa. Don't know the year, but it is very old. Would guess late 1920's early 30's. The box is labeled No 10- "Rapid" coaster. I would like info on the age and value of this toy. The coaster has 2 cars and works by lifting an arm like section of track with a spring motor to launch the car. The arm like section returns to rest waiting for the next car to arrive.

MINIATURE WOODEN APPLE TEA SET: What do you know about a miniature wooden tea set that comes inside a small wooden red apple? This was made in Japan and distributed by a toy house out of New York. MOLDS FOR PLASTER ANIMALS: From about 1957-1959, my sister and I played with red rubber molds into which you poured a plaster mixture you )or your mother) made yourself. You left them upside down on a cup to dry overnight, and then peeled them very carefully the next day and painted them. I really want to give this great toy to my daughter but I can't find it anywhere. Note: These were three dimensional animals, not the flat ones I have found.
MOLDS OR CASTS FOR PLASTER ANIMALS: I wrote last week asking about the molds I used to have as a child, from about 1956-1959 or so. They were soft red rubber in the shapes of all different animals, and we poured a special plaster that you mix up yourself into them. (Plaster of Paris?) Then we left them to dry upside down on top of a cup or jar, and in the morning you carefully peeled off the mold and voila! a perfect three dimensional animal you can paint: not the flat or raised kind that are all I can find on the web. I had hoped to hear from you in time to get one for Christmas for my daughter! They were rare even then, but I feel sure someone must remember this satisfying toy.
MONSTER TOY - WALKING AND GROWLING WEREWOLF/LIZARD: While rummaging through my attic, I stumbled upon this odd looking toy. The toy stands about 14 inches tall, has a dark brown color, and seems to be some sort of werewolf/lizard hybrid. It has a werewolf-looking head and body, but also bears a long lizard-like tail. The toy is muscular looking, and has some amour on. When you press the button on it's belt, it's eyes light up red and it emits some sort of "arr" noise. Then, if you move the switch on it's back, it begins walking. On it's left hand is hole which holds some sort of weapon (I didn't find the weapon). The only information I have on this thing is that it is a 1993 Tyco Industries toy, and has a US patent number 5209695.

MOVING CRYING BABY DOLL FROM 1960S: This doll is from the 1960's. I don't know the maker, but the specifics of the doll are: she moves, but I don't know by what means. I assume battery, but she was on display in a five and dime store. She was in a pink bed and appeared to have only an upper torso. The upper part of her body moves like she was crying but there was no noise. I am terrible with dimensions, but I don't think she was over 15' inches long and bed. The bed appeared to be on an incline, but that could have been the way it was displayed. The doll Amy have been something given to the dealers for display purposes because the store did not have any for sale.
MR. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY IN MOTION: I have a magnetic "Holiday in Motion" that has a skating pond, and two rings on the outside of the pond. The outer ring has two carriages that travel magnetically clockwise and they work fine. However the 2 carriages that travel on the inner ring (counter clockwise) will not move, nor will the 4 skaters on the pond in the center. The music plays, the lights light up, and the figures hold their place on the magnetic spots where they are to be placed, but they won't move like they are supposed to. PHONO VIEWER: Around 1965, I was given a phono viewer as a present. It was not a GE Show N' Tell viewer. It was dark gray cloth over wood, and looked more like a school phonograph, i.e. Crosley. The filmstrips were made of thick plastic, and had ridges/teeth along the bottom that the machine used to pull the filmstrip through the view. The record/filmstrip collection included stories about PT-109, the space program, fairy tales, e.g. Hansel and Gretel, and Bible stories. I loved this toy. Do you have any idea what this might have been?

PINBALL TYPE MAGNETIC MARBLE: The point was to get the magnetic marble through different obstacles, I remember trying to get it over like an up and down bridge and at the end gently getting the marble onto the landing where you had to get it to attach to a little "arm" that would swing it around to another obstacle. I also remember two steel bars that you had to try to get the marble across by opening the bars just wide enough and then closing them where the marble moved on to another obstacle What is this toy? PLASTIC CAR - WEST GERMANY: In the mid-70s I had a large green plastic car I'm trying to identify, I recently found the exact car at a neighbor's house and some memories came flooding back (the toy belongs to her granddaughter so I could maybe get a picture to you). It was maybe 16" long, with detailed tires, whitewalls, and red wheel centers. The seats had bluish felt-type paper glued to them, car had a target-style top and no windshield. Whole car was somewhat wedge-shaped and had 'West Germany' in fairly large letters on the bottom side of the rear bumper. What is it, who made it, etc? Thanks!!!
PLASTIC CONSTRUCTION PLAYSET: I am trying to locate / find the name / picture of a plastic construction set I had as a child. I received it for Christmas in about 1969 - 1973 range. The set was similar to Legos in that they connected to each other to build whatever you were going to build. Some pieces were square 1" x 1" box, with one end opening up to connect to another. One side might have a hole in it, the other would have a protruding peg. The pieces I remember were yellow and blue. I wish I could tell you more. But that's all I can remember. I'm not sure if the pieces that I describe were part of a larger set that maybe were part of a outer space set, or a construction set. I'll call it just bad memory. I would like to just know the name. I've tried to research the set on the internet already. Looked at e-bay and vintage toy shops also. But unfortunately no luck. PLASTIC ROBOTS ON TRACKS WITH BATTERY PACKS: Circa 1976 there were a series of plastic robot toys about 6 or 7 inches tall. They had battery packs that went into their backs that ran them. Each was different. Some, for example, shot missiles, etc. The battery pack had a flip-down gear that engaged the teeth on heavy-duty blue plastic tracks and the robots would roll along the tracks, upside down, do loops, etc. Off the track, they would have various movements depending on the model. Any ideas?
PLASTIC TOY CAR: In 1953 (the first year of the real Corvette) I received a plastic corvette produced by Ideal Toy Co. It is about 14" long & 6" wide - White with red interior. The hood, doors & trunk open the wheels come off and a battery is hidden in the engine to illuminate the headlights. I can not find any information on this childhood toy on e-bay or other sources.

POCKET TERMINATOR: Can you please help me find the Pocket Terminator it was a small hand held device that came out in the early 80's? The small approximately 2"x4" black device had a red inset light with three buttons. PUMP ACTION AIRBALL SHOOTING GUN: In the late 70's maybe early 80's there was a black and red gun that sot out air balls. The pump was on top of the gun and the opening of the gun was maybe 2 1/2 to 3" wide. T front of the gun was completly red and I believe the actual pump was made of metal. To cock the gun you push the handle up away from you. And the front of the gun kind of flared out almost like a flower.

RACE GAME: What is the name of a game that came out in late 60's that was a race track ?cars, horses, or bicycles?
RACE TRACK: In the mid 80's-early 90's I had a race track that was plastic two lanes wide. It had walls on it and it wasn't slot cars but not the cars had motors and you could put different bodies on the cars. The cars rode on the track without wires or slots in the track. The cars rode on the track and the bumpers had little wheels on them that guided it through the track. I was wondering if you knew what it was called and where I could find it?
RACE TRACK - GFX?: Just wondering if you've ever come across a vintage racing set from the late 1960's - early 1970's. I believe the name of it was GFX(?) and the cars were similar to matchbox cars with the exception that there was a hole in the underside of the cars. That hole was necessary so that you could manually propel the cars around the track with the use of a lever system. The cars would be propelled by sliding a lever from left to right as the cars passed through the incline, similar to a rollercoaster. If you timed it right, the car would then be propelled around an elevated track for a lap before it came back to the incline section, where you would pull the lever again. It was a manually propelled race track system with the special cars. Ever seen one and if so, do you have more information on this toy?

READ ALONG MACHINE - 1980's: I am trying to find the name of a white read along toy that had 4 buttons (red, yellow, blue, and green)that you would push to select an answer from the read along book that would come with each book/tape set. RED BUILDING BRICKS - 1960s: I'm wondering if anyone out there remembers those little red building bricks from the 1960s before Lego came out? I remember they were red, you could connect them to each other to build buildings or whatever you liked, the bricks came in squares of one, two, four and six, they also came with flat tops as well as points to finish the tops of buildings, that I know for sure. the sets also came with white doors and windows. Someone I talked to today remembers them, but can't remember what the name of them was. He thinks they were - Mina or Minna, or Mino or Minno, bricks. REMOTE BATTERY OPERATED CONSTRUCTION CRANE: I am wanting to find any information on a battery-powered construction crane that I received for Christmas in the early to mid '70s. ROLLING MAZE PUZZLE: In the mid 1980's I had a flat puzzle maze. it was red and had a rolling ball in it. It was probably about 8" by 11" rectangle and was quite difficult. I can't find it anywhere on the web. It had a very small ball so the maze was very detailed. It might of had holes for the ball to fall into if you made a mistake have you seen one.

SERVICE STATION: I'm looking for a vintage service station from the early to mid 1960's. The platform was made of masonite (I think) and all the cars and people had little magnets under them. The platform rested on about 6" legs and we used two magnetic wands that had circular magnets in the tips so that as you waved the wand underneath the platform you could make people or cars move "magically". I think it was made by Remco but I cannot remember. Anyone having played with this or familiar with it that can provide any details that would help me track it down I would be appreciative. Thanks!

SHIPS AND SUBMARINES: Late 1960's early 70's I had a submarine and destroyer toy. the destroyer would move across the floor and you would have to shoot torpedoes at it from the sub. SIFTING SAND DISK: 15-20 years ago I found a used toy at a garage sale that I just loved. It was an oval plastic disk, about 3/8" thick that had two colors of sand inside it - pink and white - The pink sand was heavier, so when you rotated the disk the colors mixed and made patters before sifting back to pink and white. Haven't been able to find anything like it since. Any ideas?

SMALL PLASTIC ORANGE GORILLA: Trying to find a small (about 1" tall) molded plastic bright orange gorilla figure that was purchased in 2006 as part of an inexpensive package of small plastic safari animals painted either green, orange, yellow, or purple. The orange gorilla (only one in the package) turns out to be the lost toy a broken-hearted 4-year-old boy can't stop wishing for - even after being missing for more than five months. SOLDIERS - MOLTEN PLASTIC: In the mid 1960's I had a toy that I would melt plastic pellets in a sauce pan that was heated by putting it over a pot of boiling water. THUMBELINA - LIKE BABY DOLL: I am looking for a baby doll that I got around 1961-63. I had asked for a Thumbelina which was popular at this time and I got maybe a generic form of her? She was about 21"- 23" long, blond hair, honey colored (not platinum) open close eyes, cloth body with vinyl head and limbs. I believe she had this little box inside her back that you wound up and it played possibly the song Thumbelina, it was not a large knob but possibly a key (bad memory) On one hand she made a fist with one pointed finger. She resembles one of the Madam Alexander dolls but she was not of that brand. She was purchased possibly at the H.L. Greens in town here in upstate NY or Montgomery Wards, or Sears. Those were the only stores. I have searched on EBay since 2002 for her with no luck. Hope this helps.

TIN WIND UP SPEED BOAT: I just bought a tin wind up toy speedboat made by J. Chein. The spring has been wound too tightly or maybe broken (the key still turns, but the propeller doesn't. Can I fix this? I'm a total amateur at fixing toys. This toy was made in the 1950's, I believe. The boat has Peggy Jane written on both sides of the bow. Also, when I turn the key, which is somewhat hard to do, it makes a loud clicking sound.

TOY CHEST - WINNIE THE POOH: I don't know the year its an old toy chest of Winnie the Pooh. It the old Winnie the Pooh, just wondering how much it would be worth??
TOY DISINTEGRATION GUN WITH VIEWSCREEN: During the mid 60s, I remember seeing a toy disintegration gun that when you looked through its viewscreen and pulled the trigger, it supposedly destroyed whatever was shown on the screen. After an exhaustive internet search I have been unable to locate any reference to this toy. I think it was available for only a year or so and I don't remember the maker or what it was called, so this is making it difficult.
TOY DOG: In 2004, I purchased a toy dog at Target. I don't know the name or manufacturer can only describe it. It was made of rubber or vinyl,covered w/flocking, very real looking. like a golden retriever puppy. came w/leash,collar,bowl. cost around $12-$15.
TOY GAS PUMP - 1960s: In the mid-60s I had a liquid/oil filled toy gas pump (approx 6" high, 3" wide), which, when rotated/flipped within it's frame, would appear to empty out. It had a rubber hose with a nozzle. I am interested in discovering the maker its years production. Thanks!

TOY HAND - HELD PROJECTOR: I think it was around 1986 I received the coolest toy hand-held projector. I want to say it was blue with a single play button on top. The cartridges were transparent. I can't remember the movie titles, but I'm thinking maybe some Disney or Warner Bros. Any ideas? Thanks, Howie

TOY LAZER GUN: I used to have a toy lazer gun that you held up to your eyes it was big had a metal tube with a red or orange plastic tip when you looked in the eye piece it had cross hairs when you squeezed the trigger it would shoot rays through the viewer(eyepiece) it was lazer something I thought, but can't find it
TOY MACHINE GUN: My grandfather has often told me about a toy he had as a child. It was a machine gun, set up on a small tripod. It was made of wood, for the most part. The thing, though, was, it used dry pasta as "ammo." Spaghetti, to be precise. You put a piece of spaghetti into the small glass feeder tube on the top of the gun and pressed down on it gently. Somehow, this caused the gun to shoot small pieces of dried spaghetti almost across the room. Every Christmas, he tells us about the time he and his brother virtually decimated their Christmas tree with the "spaghetti gun." I'd love to find one and give it to him as a present. I have never been able to find anything even remotely matching the description. Does anyone know of a toy gun like this, circa WWII years?
TOY METAL CAR: I found a metal toy car and it looks like a roadster. But I have fail anything on the internet that looks like it. Can you help me? The nose is pointed and the fenders are pointed as well. It is rusted and has no wheels. I was wonder how old it is and what it might be worth? Can you help me?
TOY PET - STRIP OF FUR THING: Years ago I remember a really simple little toy that was basically just a small strip of fake fur. I want say it was about 6 inches long and a little over an inch wide. It was so simple that it seemed kind of boring but when you started petting it, would move sort of move around as if it were trying to jump up at first and then fall down while the rest of it jumped up and fell as well. Do you have any idea what this was called?
TOY RECORD PLAYER: What would a 1950's Marx toy record player be worth or where could I find out?
TOY RIFLE - BRIGHT BLUE: I'm looking for a toy "spy" rifle I received as a Xmas gift in the late 70's. It was Blue with a removable black "scope" that also had mirrors in it to see over things. It shot spinner disks off the front of it and had a secret compartment in the stock which held a key that locked and unlocked the trigger. It was huge and didn't look at all like a "rifle" but was the coolest thing ever! Please help. My son would LOVE this thing
TOY SLIME - GOOP SUBSTANCE: In late 1960's there were a variety of slimy toys on the market. One was a green smelly slime that oozed if you let it alone but firmed up if you played with it. Does anyone know the name? also, I recall a clear jelly like substance that was pliable in the hand but could be bounced like a super ball when thrown. Would love to find someone else who recalls that item.
TOY TOPS: I have an antique top and I do not know what its manufacturer or year its made it has rockets and spacemen all over it. What's left of the toy symbol is words THE World's and a globe with a ribbon on it and I can only make out the one letter which is an R can you help me. Thank you, Jeremy

TRAIN: We have been given a tin toy train as a donation to our organization, and cannot find any information as to it's value, year made, etc. It is a Trademark Modern Toys "Fairy Train Express" It is made for three "D" batteries. It has an engineer and six passengers riding in it, and when operation, I assume that they rock back and forth. The train is red with a yellow stripe, and a blue smoke-stack. It is in excellent condition, beautiful colors and paint, a couple tiny rust spots about the size of a pin-head. Do you have any information that may help? Thank you

TY JOINTED BEAR: We have a Ty jointed bear with the hang tag and tush tag. The hang tag says 1993 Ty Inc. and the hang tag says the name of the bear is Freckles born June 3, 1996. He is dressed in red, white and blue; red and white striped pants, a navy blue jacket and a red and white striped top hat with a blue rim. It this bear of any value?
UNKNOWN SCUBA DIVER BOAT TOY: I received the toy in the early 80's for Christmas. The toy consisted of a ocean styled fishing boat, two scuba divers, scuba tanks and a shark. I have no idea of the toys maker. Please help I have been thinking of this toy set for the last 20 + years.
VETERINARIAN KITS: My daughter is 9 years old and very gifted. She is in the top 5% of her class. So I am having trouble finding a veterinarian kit that isn't so "babyish!" WALL PROJECTOR: In the mid-seventies, I had a wall projector that had a crank. I remember being able to speed up the action or slow the action down. One of the stop animation disks? I had was Mickey Mouse the Tailor where he outwits the giant. I want to know where I can get a wall projector for my kids to enjoy.
WATCH - POKEMON ANIMAL CLIP BUDDY: What instructions can you give me for this product.
WATER WHIRL - 1950s: I was born in 58 and had this as an infant (and still have it). A sealed brick-shaped clear green plastic: 6x3x1.5". On both ends are chambers that hold liquid depending upon which end is up. The liquid drips through a hole in the bottom of the chamber from gravity and turns a colorful wheel in the center of the toy, filling the bottom chamber. Flip it over and the fun begins again. Stamped at the top and bottom it says Water-Whirl. Any idea of it's origin or who manufactured it. Can't find anything on this?
WHITE MAGNETIC ROBOT TOY: I believe it was a late 70's toy. About the size slightly larger than a hand, it was a white warrior robot in which each arm, leg and head attached via magnets. The hands could shoot off the arms, a missile could be fired from the stomach and it came with a missile-like attachment on the back with you could put in the arms to fire. The missiles where red and the robot was all white. I know there was a Japanese version that is very similar, but this one was an American version.

XMAS GIFT - BOYS: All my son has asked for this year was a motorcycle. He's only 5, so that was out of the question. I was interested if you can think of something that might spark his interest, knowing that all he wants is a motorcycle. He's already riding a two wheeler, so he's accomplished that already. YELLOW PLASTIC CASE WITH PINK STICKER ON LID: I had this toy about 1985-6. It was a yellow plastic case, shaped like a little briefcase. It was about 4-5 inches long, and had a pink sticker on the lid. I remember it came on a sealed card, but I can't remember what was with it. I think it had something inside, but I can't remember what!! It was NOT Polly Pocket, it was long before PP's time. If I could just find out what it was called, or who made it, I could probably find it. If any of this sounds familiar, please please let me know! YOUNG EXPLORERS: How can I get the word out that when you order something from Young Explorers and it doesn't work (keeping in mind Santa item) they will not help you at all on your shipping expense. I was told no one has the authority to waive any of the shipping fees. I'm paying around $17.00 in shipping fees to get a replacement toy that I HOPE works this time in a timely manner - not 10 days. I would not order anything else from them and hope to spread the word via internet that others should think long and hard before ordering from them. Thank you.
