Palenque was the great city of the Mayas. Designed by Dee Pomerleau, this is a wonderful adventure game that follows Timbuk II's Wadjet. It is beautifully designed and takes you to the rain forest of Chiapas, Mexico in 1925. Palenque features a 29 by 29 game board with stone cast playing pieces. Great for young archeologists as they play with the Maya counting dice and search for ancient Maya treasures. The whole family can play this game, and it can also be used in school. It teaches strategy and memory retention, plus it teaches a great deal about the Mayans and their ancient civilization.
