The Beat Bucket contains rhythm instruments as well as "On the Day I was Born," a CD of birthday music. Originator John Brown wants to teach children about the value of music and to connect time signature with the actual beat. Rhythm instruments are included along with the recordings. By hitting the bucket, a whole variety of beats can be taught. Children hit the bottom of the bucket, numbered from one to four. They can create two quarter time by hitting the numbers 1 and 2, and quarter time by hitting 1, 2, 3 and 4.
